While working with the wonderful Woodstock Film Festival over the past several months, I expected to bump elbows with some of the brightest up-and-coming filmmakers, most passionate actors, and established directors who support independent work. What I could never have predicted is that I would meet one of my own Hollywood heroes and be greatly inspired in my own efforts to work creatively within the film industry.

I had the honor of meeting actor Paul Rudd. Known for his blockbuster comedic roles and praised for his incredible indie performances, Rudd has been named by more than a few as “Hollywood’s most lovable man.” Reprising his role as Brian Fantana in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, out in December, Rudd spoke in a special panel on the opening day of the festival about his diverse career choices.

After his panel and pictures with the WFF Co-Founders, he was gracious enough to take photos with the staff and chat about his experience with local press. Mr. Rudd was incredibly nice when we talked after taking our photos and he even signed my I Love You, Man DVD case! It is one of my all time favorite movies and he quoted lines from it! It was an absolutely lovely meeting and I told him I hope it isn’t our last…
